Derek qualified as a PGA Professional in 2010, having been assistant to Joey Purcell at the renowned Portmarnock Golf Club in Dublin. Derek has a strong teaching profile, having coached the GUI Academy at Carton House and Lough Erne Resort.
Originally from Connemara, Derek is a former Irish Boys and Connacht Youths Champion. He has represented Ireland on both the European and World Stage.
